WHAT THIS SITE KNOWS ABOUT YOU.
Short version: almost nothing, and the little there is exists so a vote counts once. The longer version is below, in the same plain terms we use for the review data.
What is stored without your consent
Two things, and neither identifies you. A random token in your browser, so a like or a quiz answer counts once instead of every reload. And a counter of requests per hour, keyed to a one-way hash of your address with a salt that is regenerated daily — the address itself is never written down, and yesterday’s hashes cannot be matched to today’s.
What only runs after you allow it
Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Until you press “Allow analytics” it stays switched off through Consent Mode: the container loads but the tags do not fire and nothing is written. Advertising storage stays denied either way — we do not run ads.
What we never collect
No account, no email, no form that asks who you are. The driver search box does not submit anything here: it hands your query to CDLScan and the search happens there.
Changing your mind
Use the button below and the choice resets — the banner comes back on the next page, with everything switched off again. Nothing is kept on our side that would survive that.
